Volunteers are being encouraged to 'give a day'
VOLUNTEERS are being urged to spare a few hours, or even a day, to help give a lift to a flood-hit Kendal housing estate.
The Give a Day to Sandylands project will take place on August 26 and 27 with the aim of completing a number of projects.
They involve making up and distributing 250 plant pots, making over gardens and redecorating flood-damaged homes
