4-year-old dies following incident at swimming pool
A FOUR-year-old boy has died after an incident at a swimming pool, police said tonight.
Officers were called at 4.40pm yesterday (August 8th) to reports of the incident at Old Park Wood Caravan Park, Grange-over-Sands.
The boy was taken to Furness General Hospital in Barrow and then transferred to Alder Hey Hospital, Liverpool.
Cumbria Police said this afternoon that he was in a critical condition but have now confirmed he has died.
Officers are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident but say the death is not being treated as suspicious.
