A6 shut after serious crash
A MOTORCYCLIST has died after coming off his bike on the A6 this morning.
Police said the 57-year-old man from Thornton-Cleveleys, near Blackpool, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened at Shap, near the B6261 junction.
Police were called at 9.50am.
No other vehicles were involved.
Cumbria Roads Police has confirmed that the road has reopened after being closed for over three hours.
