TWO mountain rescue teams were involved after a man fell near the summit of the Old Man of Coniston on New Year's Day.
The man had injured his leg after the fall.

Coniston Mountain Rescue Team was called out and enlisted the help of Duddon and Furness MRT to help carry the man on a stretcher a long way down to the rescue vehicles at Bursting Stone Quarry.
Despite the sunshine, the weather on the Old Man was described as 'bitterly cold' on the day.
