AN EVERLASTING memorial to an "inspirational" teacher whose life was cut short in a road accident has been officially unveiled at a South Lakeland School.
The five oak seats in a quiet corner of Queen Katherine School in Kendal have been created in memory of French teacher Nathalie Locicero.
Miss Locicero, of Entry Lane, Kendal, died when the motorcycle on which she was riding as a pillion passenger, crashed on the A684 near New Hutton last year.
The languages teacher, who was French, had worked at QKS for six years and was described by head teacher Stephen Wilkinson as "inspirational" to her colleagues and pupils.
Now, Miss Locicero's life will be marked by the seats, designed by former QKS design technology teacher Iain Childs, who created them out of English oak, both as a sculpture and for practical use.
