A 12-YEAR-old boy was bitten by a dog on Shap Road in Kendal.
The incident took place at around 10.30am on Sunday (March 12) near to the Whitestiles petrol station.
The dog is described as a similar breed to a golden retriever and was a light, sandy colour.

it was being walked on a lead by a woman described as being in her 50s, of slight build and wearing jeans and a beige-coloured waterproof jacket. The woman did not stop following the incident or provide any details.
The bite caused a puncture wound and the boy was taken to casualty to have it dressed. He is currently on a dose of antibiotics to fight off an infection, said the boy's father.
