MEMBERS of the public are been invited to learn more about glaucoma at a session at Westmorland General Hospital (WGH).
University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust (UHMBT) and Sight Advice South Lakes will host the event, with talks from a consultant ophthalmic surgeon and an optometrist.
Glaucoma is a condition which can affect sight, usually due to build-up of pressure within the eye and if left untreated can lead to blindness.
The session is being held in the Macular Unit Level 4 at WGH from 6pm to 8pm on June 5. The evening is open to patients, families and carers.
For more information or to book a place contact the eye clinic by calling 01539 715371.
