A PASSING out parade saw Kendal Air Cadets from the 16/02 intake receive their first class badges that allows them to undertake the full range of training.
A number of cadets also received promotions from the sector commander for South Cumbria, Squadron Leader Ray Browne RAFVR(T); gaining their Corporal stripes were Finley Webb and Louis Ostlere, with Thomas Johnson and Benjamin Reddin receiving promotions to sergeant.
The evening was well attended by cadets, their families and guests. Wing Commander (retd) and Mrs Bob Latin presented a certificate to the squadron for all the hard work cadets have put in raising money for the Royal Air Force Association through bag packing in local supermarkets.
Kendal Air Cadets currently have spaces for new cadets for this year’s intake. Young people aged 12 (Year 8) and above are invited to visit the headquarters on Queen Ketherine Street on either a Tuesday or Thursday night from 7 to 9.15pm, or contact: oc.1127@aircadets.org if interested.
