A KENDAL pub is to host its first beer festival over the bank holiday weekend.

Drinkers will be able to enjoy 40 different beers, including tipples from Croatia and Kendal's German twin town, Rinteln, when they visit The Factory Tap.

Starting tomorrow (May 26) at 3pm the festival will include street food from the Thai Kitchen and The Shed Kitchen.

On Saturday (May 27) there will be cocktails served from a converted Volkswagen campervan and The Seals will be playing live.

Monday (May 28) will see Burneside Brass Band and Ernestinum Big Band from Rinteln playing from 3pm.

Alongside the festival, visitors will have the chance to visit some of the studio spaces at The Factory.

Tomorrow from 4-8pm and from 11am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday, craft workshops, studio spaces and galleries will open their doors to the public.

Included in the Open Studios days will be glassmaker Jo Vincent, chairmaker Paul Girling and screen printer Ben Dodge.
