SOCIAL housing landlords are to benefit from almost three decades' experience brought by a new procurement manager.
David Hall is taking up the post with Cumbria Housing Partners, which helps its members to save time and money by buying materials and sourcing contractors for repairs and maintenance on their affordable homes.

Mr Hall began his career with Northern Electric in 1987, and since then has successfully created savings for businesses by setting up procurement teams and systems.
"Together we will be looking to extend current areas of procurement and develop best practice to achieve more cost savings and improve efficiencies," said Mr Hall.
"This new role offers an exciting opportunity for me to help shape the way in which Cumbria Housing Partners is looking to develop."
Kendal-based South Lakes Housing is among the members of the Carlisle-based business, as well as Eden Housing Association, of Penrith.
Director Lesley Dixon said she hoped members would make further savings to reinvest locally, "to improve the lives and futures of people living in our communities".
