A summer show will be hosted at Kendal Parish Hall on Tuesday (August 22) by the Riversiders, a leisure club in the town for people with learning disabilities.

The theme this year is ‘Stronger Together’ and Riversiders are celebrating along with other day services, such as Horticare, Wosp, Whinfell, Windmill, Right to Work and Creative Arts, the fact that earlier this year Kendal was voted by a Times survey as one of the best places to live in England.

Kevin Jones, of Riversiders, said: “The service users certainly think it is for them and want to show people how much they appreciate the help and support they receive from their friends here.”

Tickets for the show are £5, which includes refreshments. The show starts at 6.15pm and should finish around 8pm.

Riversiders (for people aged 18 plus) is a flourishing leisure club with increasing membership, which meets each Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm at Kendal Day Centre.
