POLICE are appealing for information after shoplifters targeted Sports Direct in Kendal yesterday (August 19).
A man and a woman are reported to have entered the store at around 1.50pm, selected a large amount of clothing, stuffed it into a bag and then sprinted out of the front door, triggering the alarms.
The suspects took off on foot away from store staff and were last seen on Aynam Road, Kendal.
The man was described as white, 6ft, in his mid to late twenties and of a slim build. He was wearing a grey hoody with dark grey sleeves, grey Adidas shorts, dark trainers and was carrying a pink JD Sports bag.
The woman was described as white, in her mid to late twenties, 5ft 10in and of a medium build. She was wearing a black Adidas jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, white three quarter length trousers and trainers with pink socks. She was carrying a black and orange bag for life.
Anyone with any information should contact Cumbria Police on 101 and direct information for the attention of PC 2400.
