PLANNERS will today (Sept 28) decide whether to grant permission for the change of use of Bankfield Hall, Urswick, near Ulverston, into a 15 bedroom hotel. Members of South Lakeland District Council's planning committee will also learn that developers, Catalyst Corporate Developments Ltd, plan to attach an annexe to provide a further 20 bedrooms and ground floor restaurant. A pair of detached annexes will provide a further 12 bedrooms and 12 self-contained single storey woodland lodges. Councillors are being recommended to grant approval.
