PUSH the button! You must be joking, right? The online retailer Amazon suggested that I might like their new product. Looking into it, it's a small button you place near regular items you use in your house. For example, there's an Andrex button which you place by your loo roll and when you're about to run out you simply press the button and its places it on your online shopping list. I like technology, but that's just lazy! There are many emergency buttons you might like to hit in life's twists and turns. Our natural instinct as humans is to try and solve situations on our own, maybe even turning to Google.

Most people admit to praying at some point in their lives. There are a number of problems that spring to mind when considering prayer…talking to someone who’s invisible…talking to someone who doesn't talk back. How does that work?

Prayer is simply the conversation between friends. It's not like sending an email off into cyberspace wondering if it will ever be read by someone. Fundamentally, it is less about 'getting something' and more about 'knowing someone.' Our needs often propel us deeper into the relationship with God. Why don't you press that button today? God longs to hear from you - he's not a God who is dead but alive and well. Maybe you can't pray at the moment but you know a Christian. They would love to pray with you, for whatever you're facing today - as followers of Jesus we believe in the power of prayer. Push the prayer button today.
