POEM and a Pint’s Saturday, November 18 event (7.30pm) takes supporters of the tuneful literary event back to Ulverston's Laurel and Hardy Museum.
Special guest will be poet Andrew McMillan, whose first full-length collection, Physical, was published by Jonathan Cape in 2015. As well as earning a Gregory Award, it became the first ever poetry collection to win The Guardian First Book Award. Barnsley-born Andrew is the son of well-known wordsmith Ian McMillan. Music during the PP gig is courtesy of skilled songwriter and guitarist Andy Cook with accomplished poet Kim Moore as MC. Sign up at 7pm for floor slots.
