EXTRA cladding can be added to the facade of McDonald's restaurant in Kendal as part of its recent refurbishment, planners decided.
The fast-food company told South Lakeland District Council the cladding would complete the "sleek, contemporary feel" of its new-look premises on Stricklandgate.
In its response, Kendal Civic Society said: "We feel there is no need for this."
SLDC said the cladding would not cause more harm to the property's "modern character".
