A KENDAL estate agent is celebrating two "record-breaking deals" on properties in Kendal.
Iain Bainbridge, principal of independent agent Scott Bainbridge, said both sales would result in significant donations to the company's charitable scheme.
The two properties that have sold are four-bedroom house at Brigsteer Road, Kendal; and a beautiful Webster-designed Georgian home at Thorny Hills, also in the town.
St John's Hospice at Lancaster is the main beneficiary of Scott Bainbridge's charity venture. The residential sales and lettings company, based in Kendal's Market Place, gives away ten per cent of its fees on newly instructed properties.
Mr Bainbridge told the Gazette he was now also working with auction company Pattinson to offer a new package to clients, with no listing fees or withdrawal fees, and the buyer to pay all auction company fees.
"I think this is a great alternative to auction houses that often make upfront charges without any guarantee of a sale," he added.
