A WELL-known Lake District hotel is up for sale.
The Fisherbeck, in Ambleside, is on the market as a going concern with a guide price of £1,375,000.
Family owned and run since 1979, the business at Lake Road is being run as a bed-and-breakfast. There are 18 en-suite rooms, as well as accommodation for owners or staff.
Accolades include a Certificate of Excellence from travel review website TripAdvisor, and a Gold Award and four-star rating from VisitBritain.
Property company GVA is the agent for the sale. The company's Martin Davis said: "The Fisherbeck offers a rare opportunity for an investor or lifestyle operator to acquire a high-quality business with an existing strong trade."
The business will continue to trade and take bookings with a full complement of staff while a buyer is sought.
