Cumbria County Council plans to start road resurfacing work on the A6 in Milnthorpe from Monday 5 February.
The works will be carried out in phases on Church Street and Beetham Road, and will be restricted to night-time only to minimise disruption to businesses and road users.
To enable resurfacing works to be safely carried out, the A6 will be closed from Monday to Friday, 6.30pm-12.30am, starting from Monday 5 February for up to three weeks.
No works are planned over the weekends. The road closure will not be in operation during half term week (12-18 February).
During the temporary closure, a signed diversion will be in place via the A6070 / A590/ A591 /A6.
