South Lakes MP Tim Farron will be rolling up his sleeves this Saturday (24 February) to wash cars in Kendal in aid of Grayrigg Primary School.
The car wash is taking place at Kirkbie Kendal School from 10am to 4pm and Mr Farron will be joining the team from 1:30pm.
The event is part of the Friends of Grayrigg School’s ‘200 in 200’ campaign, which sees them running 200 fundraising events during the school’s 200th anniversary year. The group is raising funds towards an additional classroom which is needed due to the growth of the school.
Tim said: “It’s great to be joining in this event – if you’d like to see your MP to wash your car please do come down to Kirkbie Kendal on Saturday, I’d be delighted to see you!”
