A DOCTOR on an epic charity walk from Land's End to John o'Groats passed through Lancashire and Cumbria this week.
Richard Harries, from Lincolnshire, began the trek on March 1 and by Sunday had reached Carnforth, where he stayed over with a local resident.
Then he headed up the A6 to Kendal for a stop over at the youth hostel before setting off Tuesday morning over Shap towards Penrith.
He is raising money for the charity Global Angels, which aims to develop, fund and replicate highly innovative, sustainable solutions to empower communities across the globe.
