PRIME Minister Theresa May made a visit to a south Cumbrian business yesterday (Monday).
Mrs May travelled to meet local Conservative representatives as well as employees at Ulverston's Oxley Group site, in Ulverston.
Her visit came in the wake of Sajid Javid's appointment as Home Secretary, following the resignation of Amber Rudd over the Windrush scandal.
Mr Javid was appointed by telephone by Prime Minister Theresa May the morning after Ms Rudd's departure, and becomes the first Home Secretary from an ethnic minority background.
For the full report and pictures from the Prime Minister's visit, see Thursday's edition of The Westmorland Gazette.
