NO ACCESS signs have gone up on Greenbank and Castlefield in Ambleside, now the area has its long-awaited traffic regulation order in operation to prevent non-resident parking.
The Residents Association has prepared a flyer that can be put on the windscreen of any non-resident vehicle, stating that public parking is not permitted on Greenbank Road, High Greenbank and Castlefield and ‘no access’ means unauthorised vehicles can be reported to the police, with penalties of a £60 fine and three points on their licence.
Residents have been advised they can also ring the police on 101 to tell them there is a vehicle which has contravened the no access order and police even have powers to remove the vehicle.
