THE curtain falls on another successful Grasmere Players' summer production this week with two more shows still to go.
Directed by Moira Rowlinson, the eight-strong cast perform Alan Ayckbourn's wonderfully dark comedy Neighbourhood Watch on Thursday and Friday, July 12/13 (8pm) at Grasmere Hall.
The popular play tells of Martin and Hilda who have moved into a new house in the Bluebell Hill Development. While waiting for their neighbours to arrive for a house warming gathering they spot a young intruder in the garden. After much discussion they all agree to form a Neighbourhood Watch to safeguard against further incidents. All seems to be going to plan until someone lobs Martin's garden gnome, Monty, through the lounge window.
Tickets are available from Barney’s Newsbox Broadgate, Grasmere. Telephone 015394-35627 during shop hours.
