To mark the 200th anniversary of The Westmorland Gazette in 2018, we are publishing a photograph from our archives on our website every day this year.
Today's photograph shows Miss Kathleen Doherty of Ambleside in 1966 with her 27-year-old gander, which she kept as a watchdog for her Millerfield Boarding Kennels.
