HOUSE price growth slowed to its lowest level for nearly five years in May, official figures show.
Across the UK, average property values increased by three per cent in the year to May 2018, down from 3.5 per cent in April, according to figures released by the Office for National Statistics, the Land Registry and other bodies.
The average house price in May was £226,000.
