PLANS by Cumbria County Council's (CCC) highways department for double yellow lines at the junction by St Margaret and St James' CE Church in Long Marton have sparked concerns among local residents and church officials.
Worries centre around the occasions when the church hosts weddings, funerals or school events when a large number of vehicles arrive at the church.
However, CCC officials have advised that the proposals are at a very early stage and that any objections and comments made will be duly considered as part of the normal process for such matters.
