APPEAL: Red diesel was stolen from a digger at Appleby
THE theft of red diesel from an unattended digger is being investigated by police.
A Cumbria Constabulary spokesman said two men were seen taking fuel from the vehicle before leaving in a 'dark-coloured 4x4-type vehicle' on Sunday.
The incident occurred in a field off the road between Maulds Meaburn and Morland, near Appleby, at around 1.15pm.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 123 of November 7.
