Cumbria Police is investigating after traffic cones were ‘deliberately’ placed in the middle of a road in Arnside.

According to officers, the traffic cones were deliberately placed in middle of the road on Sandside Road under the railway bridge.

And police are ‘progressing’ with enquiries to identify the suspects.

A force spokesman said: “This act is dangerous to road users and could lead to collisions.

“We have spoken to a number of witnesses and are progressing our enquiries to identify the suspects.

“This behaviour will not be tolerated and we can reassure residents that action will be taken.”
