A MULTI-AGENCY effort was made to re-house residents following a sudden power outage in Arnside.
Emergency services from Cumbria Fire, Police and North West Ambulance Service worked together to move several residents of the Holly Bank Home for the Retired, located on the Promenade.
The blackout occurred on February 15, at 18:27.
Three appliances were in attendance at the scene in Arnside, and all residents concerned were taken care of.
Fire service personnel assisted the North West Ambulance Service with re-housing various residents after the care home lost power.
Fire service personnel were engaged for several hours.
While the cause of the power outage is unknown, the issue saw the care home’s electrics to go out that evening.
No other reports of power outages in the area have occurred.
Ahead of the incoming Storm Dudley over Cumbria, issues around electricity and travel have been warned against which may have contributed toward the loss of power.
