AN AMATEUR photographer is holding an exhibition of his pictures to raise money for two good causes.

Roy Martin curated the exhibition and sale for Friends of the Earth and the Heron Theatre, near Milnthorpe, which began on March 4 and will end on March 25.

The Westmorland Gazette:

The exhibition will encompass shots from Mr Martin’s travels, including Orkney, as well as pictures of landscapes closer to home such as Arnside and Milnthorpe.

“I was thinking of ways in which I could help to bring things to the fore regarding climate change and decided that selling my photographs was the most appropriate way for me to contribute to the cause,” said Mr Martin.

The Westmorland Gazette:

“I have previously exhibited at the Heron Theatre and thought it an obvious thing to link the two charities, Friends of the Earth with a smaller contribution to the Heron funding.

“The Heron has recently installed ventilation equipment in order to remain open in these post covid times.

“For the animal lovers there is a small section including wild mountain goats, ptarmigan, highland lambs and one of our beloved dog, Tess (now deceased).”
