RESCUE: The team attending an unrelated incident
Kirkby Stephen Mountain Rescue Team was called on Sunday to assist a mountain biker, who had fallen from their bike descending Hartley Fell just outside Kirkby Stephen.
Initial reports were of suspected spinal injuries.
Upon arrival, members of the team were able to treat a painful shoulder injury and administer pain relief.

North West Ambulance Service paramedics made their way on foot to the casualty, and after further assessment, the team stretchered the casualty to a road ambulance.
