IT'S paw-sitevely good news for a couple who have won the Prestige Award for Dog Walkers of the Year.

Ambleside Dog Walker, ran by husband-and-wife team Nigel and Tamsin Rogers, won the award for their second year in a row.

The Prestige Award judges were particularly impressed by the business’s wealth of experience and credentials as well as their engagement in their local area.

Ambleside Dog Walker was set up three and a half years ago after the owners left their management jobs to enjoy more time with each other and their dog Jasper.

The business covers Ambleside, Windermere, Grasmere, Hawkshead and everywhere in between and it specialises in providing varied adventure walks for dogs in a positive and calm environment.

Tamsin says: “We’re delighted to win the Prestige Award for the second year in a row - there are some great dog walkers in Cumbria so this is amazing.

“Also to be recognised at a national level by PIF, an organisation that strives to improve standards in the industry, is a real honour.

“We work hard to ensure that all dogs in our care are safe, secure, contented, and comfortable, whilst having an amazing experience with us.

“As dog walking is still an unregulated industry, it’s important in our profession to maintain high standards in caring for much loved members of people’s families.

“We’d like to say a massive thank you to all our wonderful clients and wider supporters - and of course our doggy team - for helping us to achieve this.”

The company have enjoyed great support locally and have recently expanded, now employing Nigel’s son Saul.
