BEETHAM Nurseries will be hosting an Apple Weekend this October.

The local garden centre will be hosting the event on October 8 and 9 to celebrate the nations favourite fruit.

Offering something for all the family, this annual free event is crammed full of fruit and apple trees, fruit pressing, family fun, live music and brand new for 2022, an artisan food & drink market showcasing local businesses and their produce.

For the gardeners, Beetham Nurseries will be offering over 40 varieties of apple and fruit trees for sale, with exclusive discount for all Garden Club members.

The plant team will be on-hand for any questions and guidance. Bring along your own apples to have them pressed into juice to take away, try loose apples on offer and purchase your favourites to take home and enjoy.

Apple Expert Andy Gilchrist is in attendance on October 9 not only helping customers identifying apples they bring in, but brand new for 2022 is his talk in The Marquee, ‘Growing Apples in the North West of England’.

Offering something for all the family, children are invited to join free crafting in The Marquee from 10am on October 8 whilst adults can grab a coffee and cake from the food & drink Horse Box.

A Fairy Hunt card and search the Garden Centre will be on, and chances to win special prizes.

There will also be a colouring competition in The Garden Café and win delicious prizes throughout the weekend.

The Long Nights Band are returning to Beetham Nurseries on October 8 for an afternoon of Bluegrass and Folk music – find them on The Terrace from midday.

Welcoming local businesses Lovingly Artisan, Grasmere Chocolate Cottage, Thornby Moor Cheeses, Emmaline Flowers and of course Baked by Beetham, Beetham Nurseries will host its very first food & drink market offering customers a unique shopping experience.

Zingi Bear will be offering free tastings within The Food Hall all weekend.

Apple Weekend will take place on October 8 and 9 and is a totally free event for all visitors all weekend.

Beetham Nurseries will be open Saturday 9am – 5.30pm and Sunday 10am – 4.30pm.
