FAMILY-friendly outdoor trails are taking place over the Christmas period.
The Christmas trails will start from the 17th until the 30th of December in Kendal and Ulverston.
Lakeland Orienteering Club are developing a programme of fun events designed to introduce families to outdoor adventures and orienteering in the local area.
The trail in Kendal is set to happen around the town centre and in Ulverton is taking place around Ford Park.
Kath Savage, Lakeland Orienteering Club Development Officer said: "We are introducing ourselves to the local communities with the first of our Town Trails which will be based in Kendal and Ulverston over the Christmas period.
"We hope that families will enjoy getting out in the fresh air and exploring the local area together using our special maps."
Families can find full details of the trails on their website lakeland-orienteering.org.uk where they will be able to download the maps and answer sheets free of charge.
