A LOCAL author has written a best selling female authored adventure book.
Suzanna Cruickshank is an outdoor swimming guide based in the Lake District.
She owns a business called 'Suzanna Swims', where she leads guided swims and swim-hikes for groups and individuals.
She offers all-woman walking groups and unpressured swims in a non-competitive environment. In her book, she gives tips and information to make the most of your wild swimming, while promoting safe swims.
Vertebrate Publishing is Britain's leading publisher in outdoor adventure books and guides and their all time best selling book was Suzanna's Swimming Wild in the Lake District - selling over 10 000 copies.
The book won The Great Outdoors award of the year 2020 and the Lakeland Book Awards 2021, Bill Rollinson Priz.
Swimming Wild in the Lake District is an 'inspiring' book for new and experienced wild swimmers based around the Lake District National Park.

The book is available from most bookshops in the Lake District or directly from the publisher.
