BREWERY Arts has forged a new partnership with Manchester venue Band on the Wall to grow "an ever bigger and bolder live music programme."

The partnership will see Hannah Flynn, programme manager at Brewery Arts, collaborate with Santana Guérout, chief of programming at Band on the Wall, to increase the scale and scope of the year-round programme at Brewery Arts.

Brewery Arts previously worked with Band on the Wall, from 2009-2020, joining forces to present major acts, such as John Martyn, Fat White Family, Radio 6's Craig Charles, The Charlatans' Tim Burgess and many more.

Hannah said: "Partnering with Band on the Wall has provided Kendal with some incredible talent in the past and we look forward to developing this brilliant connection as we move into the future."

Band on the Wall was at the centre of Manchester’s famed post-punk scene in the late 1970s when Buzzcocks, the Fall and Joy Division played some of their earliest gigs at the venue.

In 2022 the venue underwent a £3.5m renovation and is now a producer of events featuring the best artists from cultures across the world.

The partnership has already secured a headline act for the summer programme as legendary Afrobeat artist Femi Kuti will perform on July 28.
