An art exhibition is set to leave its visitors nostalgic when it opens.

Including paintings and sketches of the town from the 90s, the My Kendal exhibition is set to take place from June 14 to August 15 at 98 Highgate.

The paintings and sketches were created by local artist Thuline De Cock who holds workshops and has a studio-gallery in Windermere.

The Westmorland Gazette: Thuline's sketch of Brewery Arts in Kendal in February 96 with it was the Vats Bar

Specialising in contemporary animal portraits, Thuline used to go and sit in bars and cafes and make sketches when she moved from Belgium in the 1990s.

One piece of artwork depicts Brewery Arts when it was the original Vats Bar in February 1996.

The arts centre opened its doors in 1972 when the premises was converted from the old Vaux Brewery. The artist encourages people to come down and see the many well-loved places of Kendal both old and new. For more information please visit www.thuline.com.
