SCHOOL staff members will embark on an 'exhilarating' test through some of the most historic areas of the Scottish Highlands while fundraising for a charity.

Sedbergh School staff members are set to take part in The Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon on Saturday and are competing across different levels.

The challenge includes a 1.2k swim, run and hike for 24k across 7 Munros, kayaking for 11.5k and biking for 50km.

Staff have been training for six months to prepare for the challenge.

The school will be raising money to support the work of Siobhan's Trust in Ukraine.

In November 2022, Dan Harrison, the school's headmaster and housemaster Stuart Oliver travelled to Ukraine and saw the impact of the charity's work.

As a result of that visit, they were inspired to get the school together to raise £65,000 to buy and equip a pizza van for the charity to use in their fleet in Ukraine.
