A KENDAL play centre has revealed its new 'veterinary hospital' for children.

Outside In is a Social Enterprise play centre providing a place for younger children and parents.

The room is kitted out to inspire young ones to become the next Dr Doolittle complete with 'x-ray machine', 'examination table', pet carriers, waiting area with couch and 'medical kits'. On the walls are informational posters about vaccinations, dental care, annual checks and diet and nutrition.

There are even white coats and x-rays of different animals to inspire future veterinarians.

A spokesperson for Outside In said: "We try to change the middle room on a regular basis to inspire the kids' imaginations. All of us at Outside In are animal lovers and have pets.

"The kids are loving it. Lovely to see them using their imaginations as they use the role play areas."

Outside In is a charity that began life as a community group made up of parents and local people who said they wanted to provide the best for children and families in Kendal.
