A WORLD-CLASS Opera Festival is returning to venues across the county.
The Cumbria Open Festival 2023, organised by Cumbria Opera Group, begins on August 26.
The event will celebrate Cumbrian writers, poets and opera makers, including a World Première from Robert Anson, the winner of the festival’s Young Composers’ Competition.
Events will also take place in Grange-over-Sands, Appleby, Penrith, Carlisle, Dalton-in-Furness and Whitehaven.
The second edition of festival will also feature Poulenc’s radical and captivating La Voix Humaine to Mozart’s eternal Don Giovanni.
