A group in Grasmere, Ambleside are set to put a different spin on the traditional Nativity this year.
The Grasmere Players are teaming up with the Derwent Players to put on their annual Christmas Readings event on Friday, December 15.
The main attraction will be the Nativity performance, which will be performed by adults for a change.
The show, which comes at no charge for visitors, will also include the usual mix of festive readings and carols.
Doors open at 7:00pm, inviting locals to settle down for an evening of entertainment with mulled wine and a mince pie or two.
The Nativity will then kickstart the festivities from 7:30pm.
