Local school children have been showcasing their gingerbread house creations in an annual competition.

Over 100 talented youngsters took part in the eagerly anticipated contest, organised by Hackney & Leigh.

Each gingerbread creation was a testament to the children's abilities, featuring intricate icing designs and carefully moulded candy decorations.
