A LAKE District Italian restaurant has been handed a new food hygiene rating.
Villa Positano was served a four-out-of-five food hygiene rating after assessment on February 28, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
This means that the hygiene standards of the restaurant are 'good'.
The restaurant, located at Ash Street, in Bowness-on-Windermere, was inspected by a food safety officer from the Westmorland and Furness Council.
The inspector gave a 'good' rating to the hygienic food handling, a 'good' rating to the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building and a 'generally satisfactory' rating to the management of food safety.
It means that of Westmorland and Furness's 660 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 547 (83%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
