A PENSIONER has appeared in court and denied his dog caused serious injury to another while dangerously out of control.
At South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on April 3, Brian Rowand, from Great Langdale, denied a charge that his brown and white sheepdog, named ‘Brit’, had caused an injury to the complainant.
It is alleged the 79-year-old’s dog injured a person while dangerously out of control near Ambleside on August 13 last year.
The case was sent to Carlisle Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on May 3.
Rowand was given unconditional bail.
