A MAN has been arrested by Cumbria Police on suspicion of drink driving and speeding offences on the M6 hours after Storm Kathleen.
Cumbria Police said that 'most drivers slow down in howling winds and heavy rain.'
But officers said that they stopped the man at junction 36 of the southbound M6 after following him at 105mph.
A spokesman from Cumbria Police said on X at 00.47am on April 7: "Driver then goes on to provide a breath reading of 82 (limit's 35) and 74 in custody.
"Will be charged to Court for both offences once sober."
