Got up to find that there were two target areas , one in the great lakes 200 miles north east or 300 miles south west. As the target area for Monday was to be south, that is where we headed. The storms in the great lakes produced killer tornadoes, they were F4, and stayed on the ground for some time.

Our storms produce a couple of small short term tornadoes. I caught what looked to be one touching down and Paul caught another briefly as it was going back up. The storms showed a lot of promise and for a while were violent storms, they then became outflow dominant. This effectively cut of the supply of warm moist air to the storms. Whilst they were still capable of doing damage the tornado risk was reduced. I am sure the good people of Kansas were pleased about that.

I picked up a local paper this morning and had seen photos and reports of the damage caused by Fridays storms.

We are now back in Great Bend Kansas. I looks like our target area is some where in The Texas Panhandle area. I am having to do this work in the motel lobby because my room is too far from the WiFi. It kept cutting out.

We meet up with Dave and the ITV team today.
