A MAN has been taken to hospital this morning (Saturday) after being seriously injured in a road traffic collision at Arkholme in north Lancashire.
The 52-year-old local man was taken to Lancaster Royal Infirmary where he is being treated for severe head and chest injuries.
The accident occurred on the B6254 at around 1.45am and the man remains in a serious condition.
At this time, Lancashire Police believe that only one vehicle –a Ford Mondeo- was involved in the incident, although a full investigation into its cause continues.
