Minnie Mouse rescued from Lakes after bike crash leg break

MINNIE Mouse has been rescued from a Lake District fell after breaking her leg while crashing her mountain bike.

Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue team had to rescue a woman mountain biker dressed as popular Disney cartoon character Minnie Mouse on Sunday afternoon.

The woman, an experienced rider in her 30s, was on a festive ‘fancy dress ride’ with Lancaster based mountain bike club The Bogtrotters.

The group - which included riders dressed as Dennis the Menace, Shrek, a sugar plum fairy, a pre-op transsexual and a sexy Santa - were riding along Elterwater Common, near Great Langdale, when she crashed her bike, breaking her left ankle.

Nick Owen, spokesman for Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue, said: “She just fell off her bike and badly broke her ankle.

“She was on a fancy dress ride, there was a bloke there with suspenders and stockings on. They were all in good spirits.”

The woman was taken by ambulance to Lancaster Royal Infirmary.

How can dressing as a pre-op transsexual be fancy dress? I know a few and they dress very discreetly indeed.

it's supposed to be funny :o) Obviously no sensible person would normally dress that way, whatever their sexual orientation...

Oh, honestly... *rolls eyes* That's nothing like a pre-op transsexual. Fruit-cake dressed as a tart, perhaps...

Hey BigLiz. i'm assuming you know lots about dressing like a pre-op transexual and your user name.......ooh my mind boggles!
Anyway i think events like this one are great fun and often like to dress as a woman on accasions myself! (But not as a fruit cake dressed as a tart!?) Lol.
