RESIDENTS plagued by parking problems in Kirkby Lonsdale are calling for yellow lines to be painted.
Parents, students and visitors to the town's Queen Elizabeth School have been blamed for causing congestion on Kendal Road.
Residents of nearby Harling Bank also fired criticism at motorists leaving their cars on the cul-de-sac at a meeting of Kirkby Lonsdale Town Council tonight (Wednesday).
Now the authority is calling on Cumbria County Council to add double yellow lines to Kendal Road and for members of the public to report obstructions to the police.
"I drive down there every day and it's always a problem. They park on both sides of the road," said coun Richard Taylor.
A teacher from the school said staff had appealed to parents to be more considerate.
